Erev Rosh Hashanah

Erev Rosh Hashanah, Monday, September 2, 7:00-8:30pm

Join us to welcome the New Year in prayer and song, led by Rabbi Rosalind Glazer and Cantorial Soloist Sam Tygiel. Attend in person in the historic Sanctuary or over Zoom.

Rosh Hashanah Day 1

Tuesday, September 23rd

Sanctuary Service and Zoom 9:00 am – 12:15 pm

Services will be led by Rabbi Rosalind Glazer and Cantorial Soloist Sam Tygiel.

Torah Service: 10:25am
Sermon: 11:10am

Shofar: 11:25am
End: 12:15 pm

Babysitting, Youth & Teen Services

10:15-11:30am Youth Service (Social Hall) geared towards children in grades 1-5, led by Ilene Kanoff. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children if bringing a child in first grade or younger.

Babysitting will be available in the preschool classroom for children aged 2-5. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

11am Preschool Story time (preschool classroom) for children ages 2-5, led by Dinah Berch. All children in babysitting will be included. Parents are welcome to join. A small snack will be provided.

Tashlich

Tuesday afternoon, September 23rd

During tashlich, we continue the theme of starting anew by casting our sins into the water, then listen to a dramatic blast of shofar. All are invited to this family-friendly event. Choose among the three locations and times below. We will provide bird seed to toss into the water.

3:30 pm, Henry Law Park, Dover

Shofar: 11:25 am
End: 12:15 pm

Family Programming
A brief youth program will be held from approximately 10:45am to 11:25am; children will return to the sanctuary in time for the shofar service. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children if bringing a child in first grade or younger.

Babysitting will be available in the preschool classroom for children ages 2-5 from 8:45 am to the end of services. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Rosh Hashanah for Families

We warmly welcome your family to join us for Rosh Hashanah! Changing tables are available in both the womens’ and mens’ bathrooms. Busy bags and High Holiday-related children’s books are available in the main sanctuary and the library. Ask an usher to point them out!
