Let’s Celebrate Purim!

What’s your favorite hamantaschen filling flavor? From poppy seed and fig to fruity apricot and raspberry, chocolate and nuts, there’s a flavor for everyone! Please join us via Zoom as we bake, bake, bake!

Sunday, March 6, 3:00 pm: Learn to make hamantaschen with PJ Library.

Sunday, March 13, 11:30 am: Bake with Helen! Make some hamantaschen for Shalach Manot bags.

Put on a silly hat and come to the temple to join in the fun!

Wednesday, March 16, 5:00 pm, Erev Purim Family Carnival, sign up for a time slot.

Wednesday, March 16, 6:15 pm, Community Megillah Reading, also available via Zoom

Bring some non-perishable, non-expired foods for neighbors in need. Bring a Shalach Manot bag to share. (Some suggestions for your shalach manot bag:  Hamantaschen, citrus fruit, individually wrapped Hershey’s Kisses, Sunkist Fruit Gels, dried fruit. With home-baked treats, please include a list of ingredients.)

Jam Jews PurimJamJews Presents: Stories of Shushan – a Boozy, Sassy retelling of the Book of Esther, with traditional and fresh Purim music from the JamJews House Band. Stone Church Music Club in Newmarket, NH, March 16th from 8-10:30pm. This event is open to everyone 18+. $10.00 for in-person tickets. Will be livestreamed for free on the event page!

JamJews is a pluralist Jewish community without walls that focuses on bringing unique musical experiences to its viewers, and democratizing music and songleading in the Jewish world.

 

 

 

 

The Israel Affairs Committee suggests donating Purim goodies to Israeli soldiers, via Yashar LaChayal (Straight to the Soldier), an organization that cares for IDF soldiers and sponsors numerous projects for their benefit. Link to donate.
