Sukkot Yom Tov Service at Temple Israel
Tuesday, October 7, 10 am, led by Rabbi Rosalind Glazer. A service with Hallel, parading with lulav and etrog in the sanctuary, followed by kiddush in our sukkah.

Celebrate the Feast of Booths with delicious cheese pizza!
Parents – come a little early to Hebrew School pickup to join your children in the Temple Israel sukkah (in the Court Street parking lot).
Enjoy Sukkot together with all your senses – feel a lulav, smell an etrog, see the beautiful decorations of the Temple sukkah, hear the blessings, taste some yummy pizza! We’ll have lulavs and etrogs available to feel, smell and shake. Make your own sensory stressball etrog! Stay to eat Kosher cheese pizza dinner together.

Hoshana Rabbah Service with potluck lunch
Monday, October 13, 10am – pm at a private home (location will be provided up on registration)
Celebrate the last day of Sukkot in prayer and song, including a lulav parade. Please bring a dairy / pareve / vegetarian dish to share after the service! All are welcome.
This service will be held at a private home. Address and directions are provided upon registration. Please bring a lawn chair, your tallit, and lulav and etrog if you have them! (This service will NOT be held in the case of inclement weather. Please register to receive weather-related alerts!)
During the week of Sukkot (Monday evening, October 6, through Monday, October 13 before sunset), fulfill the mitzvah to “dwell” in the sukkah. Bring a snack, have a seat and recite this blessing:
Barukh Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melekh ha-olam asher kidshanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu lei’sheiv ba-sukkah.
Blessed is Adonai our G-d who sanctifies us with mitzvot and with this mitzvah to sit in the sukkah.
Shemini Atzeret Torah services
Shemini Atzeret (which translates to “the eighth day of gathering,” follows the seven days of Sukkot and leads directly into Simchat Torah. Observances include Torah readings and reciting Yizkor.
