As the sun sets, begin the solemn Day of Atonement in community, led by Rabbi Rosalind Glazer and Cantorial Soloist Sam Tygiel. Due to the solemn nature of this service, admittance will be limited at certain times. To ensure admittance, please arrive before the start of services.
Babysitting will be available in the preschool classrooms for children ages 2-5 from 5pm to 8pm or the end of services. Pre-registration required.
Sanctuary services and Zoom, 9 am–1 pm, 4:30–7 pm
Morning services for the Day of Atonement begin at 9 am, led by Rabbi Rosalind Glazer and Cantorial Soloist Sam Tygiel. We will take a break from 1 pm to 4:30 pm, when we resume services with Minchah, chanting from the story of Jonah, Neilah, and the final shofar blast. After Havdalah, stay to break the fast with a catered kosher meal in the Social Hall.

Family Programming
9:30-10:30 am Family Service (Social Hall) geared towards children in grades 1-5, led by Ilene Kanoff. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
9:30-10:30am Interactive Teen Program in the Library
10:30-11:30am Fun Activities for Children, ages 3-7 (Social Hall), 8-11 (Classroom), and 12-13 (Library)
11am Preschool Story time (preschool classroom) for children ages 2-5, led by Dinah Berch. All children in the younger babysitting will be included. Parents are welcome to join. A small snack will be provided with parental permission.
Babysitting will be available in the preschool classroom for children aged 2-5 and supervised quiet activities are available in a second classroom for children ages 6-10 (pre-registration required) from 9:30am-1pm and then again from 4:30pm until the Break-Fast. Registration required or email the office with questions.

Please join us for a delicious, catered kosher break-the-fast in our Social Hall. Advance registration is required with a suggested donation of $18 per person.
SFP is a neighbor helping neighbor organization for families with children experiencing homelessness. Please consider filling a bag (or two!) to help. Non-perishable items only may be left in the Court Street Lobby between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur – NOT the Sanctuary lobby off State Street.
