Passover Begins on April 1, 2026

Passover begins at sundown on April 1, 2026. This is a time for families and friends to gather at seders to celebrate our people’s story of liberation.

  • If you are hosting a first night seder on Wednesday, April 1, and have room at your table for a few more, let us know and we will share that information with people in our community looking for an in-home seder. Tell us:
    • Time
    • Location
    • Food plan (kosher, kosher style, vegetarian, potluck, etc.)
    • How many people you have room for
    • Anything else about the seder
  • If you would like to join others for a first night seder, let us know and we will share the list of available hosts with you. You can coordinate directly with the hosts regarding any questions, what to bring.
  • Come to Temple Israel for our Second Night Community Seder on Thursday, April 2, featuring a catered meal by Mezzanine Catering and led by Rabbi Rosalind Glazer. All are welcome, but reservations are required. Suggested donation is $40/adult ($50 for non-members), $10/child, free for age 5 and under, but any donation will be gratefully accepted. This event is generously subsidized by the Cultural Endowment Fund and Temple Israel.
