The ninth of Av is a day of deep sadness within the Jewish world as we commemorate the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem by the Babylonians and then the Romans, as well as other tragedies that have befallen our people. It is observed with fasting and prayer. This year our observance will begin outdoors as Rabba Kaya leads us in Havdalah from the Court Street entrance. Afterwards, we will gather in the social hall and join Temple Beth Abraham on Zoom as we share the chanting of the Book of Lamentations/Eichah, together.

8:45 PM: Gather in the parking lot

9:00 PM: Havdalah outdoors as Shabbat comes to a close

9:15 PM: Chanting of Eicha/Lamentations in the Social Hall (also available via regular Zoom link for services) along with Temple Beth Abraham from Nashua whom will be joining us through Zoom.
