From Rabbi: Temple Israel Closings

(Note from the office: this page was previously updated for weather conditions, but effective March 2020, includes coronavirus-related closures.)

5/1/2020 A committee has been formed to plan for reopening the building based on state and  local government and Conservative Movement, guidelines. Meanwhile, the building is closed except for essential business and fob access temporarily disabled. To make an appointment for building entry, please contact the office.

3-27-2020 As per NH Emergency Declaration #16, which prohibits gatherings of 10+ people,  and Declaration #17, which requires NH residents to stay at home, Temple Israel in-person services, classes, and events will be canceled through May 3, 2020. Many committee meetings, services, and events will migrate to a virtual basis; school classes will continue on a “remote learning” model. Please see the Live Stream Options page for links to virtual services and programs.

On the days that Portsmouth Schools are canceled due to weather, Temple Israel is also closed.   Updates made as appropriate.

Dear Synagogue Family,

Because of the predicted weather / road conditions,
the temple office will be closed on Monday, December 30, 2019

We look forward to seeing you when the weather improves!
