Welcome to another year of Temple Israel Sisterhood activities.
We are pleased to inform you that, because of the difficult economy, we are extending a gift of NO Dues this year to our Sisterhood members. We hope that you and your family enjoy a prosperous and happy New Year on behalf of the Sisterhood Planning Board.
In mid-October Simchat Torah was celebrated with a Klezmer band and ice cream party thanks in part to the generous support of the endowment fund.
In late October many of us gathered at the beautiful home of Susan Golden for the Annual Sisterhood Brunch.
We are planning a Rosh Chodesh Celebration February 12th at 3 pm at the home of Marjorie Stock in Dover. Our guest will be Leslie Schwartz and we will be discussing Jewish women’s issues. It should be informative and interesting. Please join us. This will be a pot luck appetizers and desserts, dairy or vegetarian.
A Women’s Passover event is in the works for March 25th, at the home of Alissa Jacobs in Greenland. Mark Your Calendars.
The Senior and Community Picnic in late May or early June will hopefully not get rained out this year.
The year-end dinner, a dutch-treat gathering at a local restaurant is being planned for May 30. This is for the general Sisterhood to enjoy each other’s company, eat good food and talk about the past year, as well as toss around new ideas. All are welcome. Keep your eyes on the Doorpost and email announcements for dates, locations and times for the above events.
