    “Israeli and Palestinian Narratives: Understanding the Obstacles to Peace” 
    • In this video, Yossi Klein Halevi discusses differences between Israeli and Palestinian understandings of the situation the two peoples face.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, Halevi is an Israeli journalist who has written for Jerusalem Post, New York Times, L.A. Times, Washington Post, and New Republic.  He is a fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and also teaches at the Jewish Theological Seminary in NYC.  His 2013 Like Dreamers discusses the 1967 reunification of Jerusalem.  This video presentation will be followed by a discussion.

 

  • Sunday, April 10, 10:00 am.  Learn about “Birthright”  Presentation on “Birthright” by a TIP-sponsored Birthright alumnus.  Parents, sons and daughters aged 18–26 are invited to hear and see the Birthright Adventure of Jeremiah Berman, who enthusiastically shared the following:
    “I am excited to share my Birthright experiences with everyone on April 10th at 10am in the Temple Israel Chapel. I have some amazing pictures that I will put together in a slideshow.

 

  • Brunch and talk by Matan Zamir, Israeli Deputy Consul General in Boston.  Rescheduled. 

    The talk by Matan Zamir, Israeli Deputy Consul General in Boston, scheduled for this Sunday morning, September 25, 2016 at Temple Israel Portsmouth, has been postponed, to be rescheduled at a future date.
